You never pay extra for these. The tiers differ in three ways: resources (compute and storage), isolation (shared infrastructure → dedicated hardware → dedicated cluster → fully dedicated platform), and support (community → 9×5 → 24/7 → dedicated account manager). Higher tiers add compliance reporting, private networking, and custom SLAs. But the core platform? Identical across every tier.

A Private Stage is your own isolated environment on runtiq. Your workloads, databases, and network traffic are completely separated from every other customer — enforced at the infrastructure level, not just by configuration. On the Starter tier, your Private Stage runs on shared infrastructure (think: your own apartment in a secure building). On Business Standard and above, it runs on dedicated hardware (your own floor, with guaranteed resources). Business Pro and Enterprise get even more: their own cluster or fully dedicated platform. The key point: even on Starter, your data is isolated. Isolation isn't a premium feature at runtiq — it's the architecture.

We built runtiq knowing that NIS2 makes IT infrastructure a board-level concern — and that management faces personal liability for non-compliance. Our infrastructure targets CIS Level 1 & 2 hardening, with builds designed to follow SLSA Level 3 provenance, and all data is designed to stay in the EU with no CLOUD Act exposure by design. On Business Standard and above, you'll get downloadable NIS2 and DORA compliance reports that document your infrastructure's security posture, access controls, and data residency — critical for fintech and regulated industries. Business Pro will add on-demand reports (NIS2 + DORA + C5) for when auditors come knocking. Enterprise will include the full regulatory package: NIS2, DORA, C5, ISO 27001, and EU CRA with dedicated compliance support. You won't need to configure compliance — it's how the platform is being built.

Every plan includes base compute, memory, and storage. If you need more, you can add resource packs at any time: +1 vCPU (€25/mo), +2 GB RAM (€25/mo), or +50 GB NVMe storage (€25/mo). Resource packs are billed monthly at a fixed price, just like your plan. No per-minute or usage-based surprises. Enterprise customers get custom resource allocations.

Private networking (available on Business Pro and Enterprise) lets you create encrypted tunnels between your runtiq cluster and your other infrastructure — your office network, your on-premise datacenter, another cloud, or a client's environment. Your production services can talk to your internal databases or legacy systems without anything being exposed to the public internet. No public endpoints, no VPN bolted on as an afterthought — it's built into the platform. runtiq is the only EU PaaS that offers this.

No. Ingress and egress traffic is included in every plan — and it stays within the EU. Unlike hyperscalers that charge per GB of outbound traffic, runtiq has no bandwidth charges and no cross-border data transfers. Your monthly price is your monthly price.

Your data is hosted exclusively on European bare metal servers in Austria and Germany. runtiq is an Austrian-founded company under EU jurisdiction. Your data is designed to stay in the EU. By design, the US CLOUD Act, Patriot Act, and FISA Section 702 have no reach here — no US parent, no US ownership, no asterisks.

Nothing — your data keeps running. runtiq stores your volumes on distributed storage replicated across multiple physical servers. If a server fails, your application reconnects to your data automatically. This is built into the platform architecture on every plan, not a premium feature.

That's what automated backups are for. Every plan includes scheduled backups stored on isolated object storage — from daily on Starter to continuous on Enterprise. Business Standard and above includes database point-in-time recovery, so you can restore to any specific moment, not just the last snapshot. Your data is always recoverable.
